TEAMS FUNDRAISING FOR LOCAL CHARITY, CANCER SUPPORT SANCTUARY LARCC

Trend Technologies have entered four teams in the 2017 Westmeath’s Fittest Company competition. The competition raises money for Cancer Support Sanctuary LARCC, a registered charity located in Multyfarnham, Co. Westmeath offering a wide range of support services to cancer patients and their families.

The competition takes place at Lilliput Adventure Centre, Lough Ennell, Mullingar on Saturday, 29th April, where our teams will take part in challenges against teams from local companies. The winner will be named Westmeath’s Fittest Company 2017.

Each team is made up of four participants who are currently taking part in a 12-week training program designed by Maurice Looby Fitness. The program has included running and circuit training, and participants have reported an increase in fitness levels and general wellbeing. It has also proved a great team-building exercise, with participants training with colleagues from across the company, and participants from other organisations.

Trend Technologies’ teams have combined their efforts to fundraise for LARCC with a range of activities prior to the Competition. Activities have included a Connect4 Tournament and Plank Walking challenge, with Colin Barry, Cian Quinn, Joanna Carroll, Jordan Moore, Enda Morrison and Colin Gavin the winning Plank Walking team. All monies raised will be donated to LARCC.
